Terms for a TRI_BOI Games membership
These are the terms between you and TRI_BOI Games when you start a membership. The games themselves are free to play, with no account and no terms to agree to.
Questions: privacy@triboigames.com.
What a membership is
A membership is for one player. The player gets a made-up game name, and their saved games and scores follow them between browsers and devices in every TRI_BOI game. A membership may also unlock extras in the games. It is paid for by subscription, by card, on our payment provider's page. Your account can hold up to six players, each with their own membership, which you can cancel one at a time.
Paying for a membership is a parent's or guardian's consent
By paying for a player you confirm that you are 18 or over, that the year you gave for the player is right, and that you are either paying for yourself or you are the parent or legal guardian of the child who will play as that player.
If a child plays as that player, your payment is your consent, as their parent or guardian, for TRI_BOI Games to collect and keep what the privacy notice lists: your email address, the player's made-up game name and the year they were born, and their saved games and scores. We use a card payment for this because the law that protects children online (COPPA, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) accepts a payment that your bank or payment provider reports to you as proof that a parent agreed.
You can withdraw that consent at any time by cancelling the player's membership or deleting the player on the account page. We then stop collecting, and delete what we hold, as the privacy notice describes.
If you are under 18, don't start a membership. Ask a parent or guardian to do it.
Paying and cancelling
- A membership is $1.99 a month for each player, shown on the payment page before you agree. There is no free trial: the games are free to play without one. You are charged on the day you subscribe, and then on the same day each month until you cancel; each charge pays for the month ahead. Each player is a separate subscription.
- Card details go to our payment provider, never to us. It handles your payment under its own terms and privacy policy; the privacy notice says who it is. We receive only each subscription's id and whether it is paid.
- Cancelling is one click on the account page, at any time, for one player at a time. The charges for them stop. The membership runs until the day the next payment would have been due (the account page shows the date), and then that player is read-only: they keep their name, but can't be renamed or linked to new devices, and their saved games stop being stored. Their saved games are kept for 30 days after that, in case you come back, and then deleted.
- If a payment fails and the subscription stops, that player becomes read-only in the same way.
- Deleting a player, or your whole account, cancels their subscription and deletes everything about them at once.
Playing fair
- Game names are picked from our word lists. A child can never type a name, and nothing a player types is ever shown to other players.
- Don't share a play code with anyone outside your family, and don't try to get at another account's players or saved games.
- We may end a membership that is used to cheat, to harm other players, or to break these terms, and refund any period not yet started.
The games
The games are provided as they are. We keep them running and keep saved games safe as best we can, but we can't promise they will never go down or that a saved game can never be lost. If something goes wrong with a membership, email us and we'll put it right or refund you.
TRI_BOI Games makes original fan-made games. It is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft or any other game company.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll email members before the change applies, and the date below will change.
