Privacy notice for parents
TRI_BOI Games makes browser games for players of every age. We treat every player as if they were under 13 and follow the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This notice explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.
TRI_BOI Games is run by Steve Pridemore. Questions or requests: privacy@triboigames.com.
From you, the parent
- Your email address, to send you sign-in codes and, if we ever need to, notices about your account. We don't send newsletters or ads, and we never give it to anyone.
- The year you were born, to check that a grown-up is signing up. We check it and throw it away; it is never stored.
About your child
- A made-up game name, like MossyCreeper27. The game picks it. Your child can't type their own, so it can't be their real name. You can ask for a new one at any time.
- A sign-in cookie on each device you put the profile on, so the games know who is playing. We store only a scrambled fingerprint (hash) of it.
- Saved games and scores in each game, linked to the profile. A Minicraft world is kept here so it carries on from any device your child plays on; it holds the game world and nothing about your child. Deleting the profile deletes its saves.
We never ask a child for an email address, real name, age, photo, location or contact details. There is no chat, and nothing a child types is shown to other players. Other players see only the game name and what happens in the game.
What we don't do
- No ads, and no tracking or advertising cookies.
- We don't sell or share anything about you or your child.
To keep the service running, our data is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the games, and sign-in emails are sent through Resend. They act only on our behalf.
How long we keep it
- Your account and your children's profiles: until you delete them.
- Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Play codes: 15 minutes. Parent sign-ins: 30 days. A device's profile sign-in: one year.
- Network (IP) addresses: up to one day, only to stop someone spamming codes.
Your choices
- See your children's profiles at any time on the accounts page.
- Change a game name with New name, or sign a profile out of every device.
- Delete a profile, or your whole account and every profile on it, straight away from the accounts page. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
Children can still play without an account. The games then keep their saves on that device only.
